The Los Angeles Rams just can’t seem to avoid the concerns surrounding Todd Gurley’s knee this offseason.

From the way he played in the NFC Championship and Super Bowl to the recent selection of Darrell Henderson in the NFL Draft, the Los Angeles Rams just can’t seem to escape the concerns surrounding Todd Gurley at running back.

Despite their claim during the winter that all was fine with the former Georgia star, it was pretty clear that something was going on from Gurley, no matter what the Rams said.

It didn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that something was going on with Gurley since a running back at his level doesn’t finish with just 10 rushing yards in the NFC Championship along with 35 rushing yards on 10 carries in the Super Bowl.

Finally, the Rams revealed later on in the offseason that Gurley was dealing with arthritis in his one knee, but unfortunately this didn’t make the concerns go away for some fans.

Whether Los Angeles wants to hear it or not, the only way Gurley and the Rams can redeem themselves to make fans feel at ease is for the running back to show on the field himself during a game that all is fine with the knee.

Since it’s only May and training camp is still far away, all fans can do at the moment is continue to wait it out since Gurley obviously won’t be participating in a game anytime soon.

Then again, with a new report in which Jay Glazer indicates the genuine concerns are there, this only continues to show how no matter how hard the Rams try this offseason, they can’t escape the talks surrounding Gurley’s knee.

When healthy, Gurley has proven to be one of the most dangerous running backs in the league, and watching him shred defenses the way he has at times over the years has always been incredible to witness.

However, Los Angeles has no way of defending Glazer’s claim since this is the same team that denied anything was wrong with Gurley leading up to the Super Bowl, despite his poor performance in the NFC Championship against the New Orleans Saints.

So just like before, until Gurley can actually prove the doubters wrong by being effective on the football field without his knee being an issue, Rams fans have every reason to feel concerned about the injury if they want to.
