1. Gareon Conley

Last offseason, Los Angeles pulled off a major surprise by creating a new dynamic duo at cornerback by acquiring both Marcus Peters and Aqib Talib in trades.

Things may not have always been smooth at times during their first season playing together in 2018, but the Rams have every reason in the world to feel confident about the duo’s ability to play at a high level next season.

With that being said, Los Angeles could be in for an interesting offseason in 2020 with both cornerbacks entering the final year of their contracts, meaning a backup plan wouldn’t exactly be the worst idea in the world.

After only appearing in two games as a rookie in 2017, Gareon Conley made quite the name for himself during his sophomore NFL campaign last season by starting 14 of 15 games for the Raiders while recording three interceptions in the process.

Once again, Conley seems like another player that Oakland is smart enough to realize the cornerback is only scratching the surface of his true potential, and it’s great to see the Ohio State product live up to the first-round hype.

Potentially giving up a future high draft pick to land Conley wouldn’t seem like a preference for the Rams if this were to ever happen, but when has that ever stopped the team before?
