1. Chris Jones

To say Chris Jones put together the best year of his NFL career in 2018 would be a major understatement after the defensive tackle went from recording 8.5 sacks over his first two seasons to 15.5 sacks last year.

With this in mind, why on earth would the Chiefs ever consider giving up Jones in a trade after coming off a career season?

Most likely, Jones isn’t going anywhere, and Kansas City will do whatever it takes to keep him around for the long run since the defense could use all of the help possible to make sure the Chiefs remain top contenders across the league.

Then again, the kind of production that Jones is putting together also means that Kansas City will need to open up their checkbook at some point in order to keep the star defender happy, that is assuming they do want to keep him around for the long run.

Any sort of chance in the Chiefs considering Jones in a trade would most likely come as a result of financial reasons.

But if the Rams were to end up offering a future first-round pick to Kansas City with their history of going three drafts in a row without one, maybe this long-shot scenario involving Jones could actually be a possibility for Los Angeles.
