2. Jaleel Johnson

Last year, there was plenty of excitement surrounding the Rams on defense since Ndamukong Suh would be teaming up with arguably the top defender the league has to offer in Aaron Donald.

Moving on from Suh was a difficult decision for Los Angeles since his asking price was simply too much, but at least Donald is still part of the picture, and coming off a career year in which he recorded 20.5 sacks.

Not to mention, some football fans believe that Suh’s production didn’t exactly match the money the Rams were paying the veteran defender, so at least this should make Los Angeles feel a little better about their decision.

As for the void left by Suh, well the good news for the Rams is there are a few candidates such as Greg Gaines and Tanzel Smart that should benefit from the situation.

But if Los Angeles wanted to improve the defense even more, Jaleel Johnson seems like the kind of project Wade Phillips would love to work with.

Similar to Jones, with Johnson being a backup at the moment, Minnesota could afford to give up the defensive tackle, and could be better off if Los Angeles were to offer them a decent future draft pick.
