1. Eric Wilson

On paper, the Rams seem to be in great position at linebacker, whether it happens to be Dante Fowler Jr. coming back for his first full season with the team or the offseason addition of Clay Matthews to provide a veteran presence.

But when it comes to beyond the 2019 season, there are some uncertainties with the position, and because of that detail, it can’t hurt for Los Angeles to bring on some extra talent at linebacker.

While the Vikings certainly have a few great players to choose from at linebacker, if the Rams want to be realistic over someone Minnesota would be more willing to trade, Eric Wilson immediately comes to mind.

A former undrafted free agent from 2017, Wilson has managed to appear in every single game for the Vikings over the last two seasons, although with only four starts to his name, it’s clear he’s still a work in progress.

Minnesota would most likely prefer to keep Wilson around to help him continue develop on defense, but also this seems like another perfect player the Vikings could afford to move on from with the right offer.

For all the Rams know, Wilson could be another underrated weapon for Phillips to work with, and could eventually take on a larger role down the road if all went according to plan.
