1. Donte Jackson

By starting every game as a rookie in Carolina while recording four interceptions in the process, the Panthers seem to have found a steal at cornerback in Donte Jackson after using a second-round pick in 2018 on the LSU product.

Looking at all of the high-powered offenses across the NFC South, Carolina realizes the potential surrounding Jackson when it comes to making sure their defense remains in the best potential shape possible, or it’s going to be extremely difficult to compete.

In this kind of situation, the Panthers know they would be foolish to give up on Jackson after only one season since the young cornerback is only scratching the surface for what should be an exciting NFL career.

However, this once again brings up the scenario of the possibility of Los Angeles making an offer to Carolina they couldn’t turn down, especially if it were a decent draft pick.

The duo of Marcus Peters and Aqib Talib has the potential to work wonders once again for the Rams during the 2019 season, but also Los Angeles understands the uncertainty with both players entering the final year of their contracts.

While Peters has a better chance of earning a new deal sooner rather than later when compared to Talib, the fact that nothing is set in stone at the moment makes Jackson even more intriguing to consider.
