1. Ja’Whaun Bentley

Impact wise, Ja’Whaun Bentley didn’t see as much action as a rookie during the 2018 season with the Patriots, but at least linebacker was still able to earn a Super Bowl title out of the experience.

Finding solid players in the later rounds of the draft is always a difficult challenge for teams, and while Bentley still has plenty to prove, he appears to have a bright future in the NFL.

With his potential, it seems unlikely that a team like New England would be willing to move on from a young player like Bentley after only one season, but also this is another situation in which the Patriots could receive an offer too good to turn down.

Looking at their current roster, the Rams are in much better position at linebacker thanks to players such as Dante Fowler Jr. and Clay Matthews, but also Los Angeles realizes the position does bring some questions beyond the 2019 season.

A young player in Bentley certainly won’t move into a starting role right away, but this could turn into a move in which Los Angeles focuses on the long run.

If Bentley were to develop into a reliable linebacker, the Rams could end up with a surprise starter down the road, but unfortunately all this is hypothetical at the moment.

Still, a scenario like this is fun to think about for fans, right?
