The Los Angeles Rams have high expectations for Aaron Donald once again heading into the 2019 season coming off another career year.
Over the last five years, the Los Angeles Rams have witnessed Aaron Donald develop into arguably the best defensive player in the NFL, and the best part is the Pittsburgh product seems like he’s only going to continue getting better.
Whether it happens to be the 20.5 sacks recorded last season or the fact that Donald will be looking to take home Defensive Player of the Year honors for a third year in a row, the Rams have plenty of reasons to be excited over their superstar heading into 2019.
Plus, with Donald’s competitive mindset, one can only imagine the kind of motivation he’s going to be playing with in 2019 after watching Los Angeles come up just shy of winning the Super Bowl last February.
But before all of that can officially happen, football fans in general are already expressing plenty of excitement towards the upcoming release of the popular video game Madden 20.
Up until a few years ago, a team like the Rams wasn’t exactly the most popular team to play with, but thanks to back-to-back NFC West titles along with their recent Super Bowl appearance, this is no longer the case.
While it’s certainly fun to play Madden with an explosive offense like the Rams with all of the weapons for Jared Goff to work with, football fans also enjoy the benefit of playing with Los Angeles because of Donald as well.
This week, the folks at EA Sports decided to release members of the Madden 99 club consisting of players fortunate enough to earn a 99 overall rating in the upcoming version of the game.
With the pass-rushing abilities that Donald brings to the table game after game, is it really a surprise at all to see the five-time Pro Bowler part of this year’s club?
From earning 99 for his strength or 97 for block shedding, the 99 overall rating for Donald in Madden seems to be right on the money, and will provide a little extra excitement for the fans who decide to play with the Rams.
Looking back at the draft in 2014, thank goodness the Rams decided to land Donald in the first round when they did since one can only imagine how different things would be without him part of the picture over the last five seasons.
Earning a spot in the Madden 99 club may not seem like the biggest deal in the world since it’s only a video game, but at least once again, this continues to show the kind of special player Los Angeles has in Donald.
