2. Goff falls outside top 10 for quarterbacks

Remember some of the doubts surrounding Goff following a disappointing rookie campaign in 2016 that resulted in the former California star going 0-7?

In Goff’s defense, the Rams didn’t exactly put him in the best position possible to succeed since the offensive line was a joke while the receiving corps looked like one of the weakest in the league.

Heading into his fourth NFL season, the circumstances are much different for Goff since McVay has helped both units improve to new levels where they’re considered some of the best in the NFL.

Even with some of the adjustments to the offensive line during the offseason, Goff should still be in great hands throughout the 2019 season, and continue to get better with experience.

As for where Goff ranks compared to some of the other top quarterbacks in the league, well it was a bit of a surprise to see the Rams quarterback fail to even fall inside the top 10 at his position (Goff came in at No. 11 with an 83 rating).

Nothing against any of the other quarterbacks ahead of Goff since they deserve to be in the conversation, but watching EA Sports leave a quarterback who helped his team reach the Super Bowl during his third NFL season seems questionable.
