The Los Angeles Rams came up on the losing end to the Oakland Raiders 14-3 during their first game of preseason.

Thank goodness Saturday’s 14-3 loss to the Oakland Raiders was only preseason action for the Los Angeles Rams since words can’t even describe how boring it was to watch the offense.

Yes, the results obviously would have been much different if Sean McVay actually played the starters instead of taking the smart approach of having them watch from the sidelines, but the Rams still expected to see more excitement from their backups.

After months of patiently waiting, Rams fans were beyond excited to see a preseason game finally get underway on Saturday since expectations will be high once again for the defending NFC champions after coming up short in the Super Bowl last February.

Like most teams, Los Angeles has a few obstacles they will need to overcome leading up to September, especially in the injury department.

But until then, all eyes will be on certain players over these next few weeks to see who has what it takes to compete for roster spots on the Rams, whether it happens to be as a starter or simply backup role.

Los Angeles may not have provided much excitement during Saturday’s loss, but there are still plenty of topics worth discussing, both good and bad, before the team’s next game in Hawaii against the Dallas Cowboys.

Now that one game is officially in the books, it’s time to have a little fun by looking at three takeaways surrounding the Rams from their 14-3 loss to the Raiders during Week 1 of the preseason.
