2. Travin Howard

As previously mentioned, linebacker was one of the top needs for the Rams entering the draft back in 2018, and another stud who was selected on the final day happened to be Travin Howard out of TCU.

Once again, this seemed like another decision by Los Angeles in which they were looking ahead to the future instead of Howard’s rookie campaign since the linebacker failed to see any action on the field, but hopefully that will change moving forward.

By selecting Howard in the draft, the Rams knew this was another situation in which they had nothing to lose, and could potentially end up with a steal down the road.

The verdict is still out there in regards to whether this happens to be the case, but at least Howard will be in position to make a strong case in 2019 as a result of Howard’s injury.

Even if it takes Howard a little extra time to ease his way into a consistent role, this still seems like a move that will be well worth it for a team like the Rams.

Playing on the same level as Kiser certainly won’t be easy, but this isn’t going to stop Howard from at least trying.
