1. Bryce Hager

Since coming on board during the 2015 season, Bryce Hager has appeared in every single game for the Rams, although the linebacker only has one career start to his name.

However, since Kiser was projected to be one of the starters at inside linebacker for the upcoming season, if there’s any linebacker with the best shot of filling in for the starting role, Hager seems like the top candidate at the moment.

Hager’s career numbers (22 combined tackles) may not stand out like some of the other linebackers across the NFL, but also it’s no secret that his statistics would easily be higher if he were an actual starter.

Could the injury Kiser finally result in Hager being a consistent starter on defense for the Rams?

These next two weeks will certainly be crucial for Hager when it comes to proving to Los Angeles he can handle the responsibilities, especially with some of the friendly competition from his teammates.

Plus, with Hager entering the final year of his contract with the Rams, this unexpected opportunity could very well result in a much better contract down the road if he comes through in a big way, so hopefully the extra motivation will be there.
