1. John Franklin-Myers

Similar to Allen, John Franklin-Myers with another young defender selected by the Rams during last year’s draft, only he was selected in the fourth round, and actually appeared in all 16 games for Los Angeles during his first NFL season.

With a year of experience under his belt, Franklin-Myers seemed to only be scratching the surface on the defensive side of the football for Los Angeles, and watching the team move on after only one season leaves fans with plenty of questions.

Could this turn out to be one of those moves the Rams look back on and regret?

As mentioned before, it’s difficult to determine what Los Angeles was thinking over someone like Franklin-Myers who seemed to have a ton of potential as a rookie after recording two sacks to go along with a forced fumble.

The good news for at least Franklin-Myers is there are plenty of teams that would most likely love to add him at defensive end, meaning it wouldn’t come as a surprise at all to see the defender quickly get scooped up.

Roster cuts always tend to be filled with numerous surprises, but the Franklin-Myers situation certainly came as an unexpected move for Los Angeles.

As much praise as the offense receives, the Rams certainly could have used a big season from Franklin-Myers to help put the defense in better position to come through on their end.
