The Los Angeles Rams rewarded Jared Goff with a hefty four-year extension to keep their beloved quarterback around through the 2024 season.

After months of discussion over whether it would happen, the Los Angeles Rams rewarded Jared Goff with a hefty four-year, $134 million contract on Tuesday to make sure the California star would be around for the long run.

With Goff locked in with the Rams through the 2024 season, the offense will be in amazing shape for years to come, as expectations will be high once again in 2019 as this team looks to earn a trip to the playoffs for a third year in a row.

Football fans can criticize Los Angeles all they want over how ridiculous this kind of deal is for Goff since his disastrous rookie season in 2016 always comes to mind, but also the circumstances were completely different back then.

From a horrendous offensive line to work with along with a weak receiving corps consisting of players such as Kenny Britt and Tavon Austin, most young quarterbacks would have struggled the way Goff did as a rookie.

The good news for the Rams is what Goff dealt with during his rookie campaign helped make him the kind of quarterback he is today, and Los Angeles has every reason in the world to be thrilled over him sticking around for many more years.

Now that Goff’s deal is official, it’s time to take a closer look into how this all played out, and look into three reasons why Rams fans should love this decision by the organization while the team continues to prepare for Week 1 against the Carolina Panthers.
