2. Goff continues to get better with experience

As previously mentioned, it was unfair for any football fan to judge Goff for what he was capable of in the NFL based off his rookie campaign since the team didn’t exactly put him in the best position to succeed.

If anything, Goff’s critics should take a closer look at what the Rams quarterback has been able to accomplish over the last two seasons, and put that towards reasons as to why he was well worthy of that hefty extension from Los Angeles.

Even if some of the critics want to point out Goff’s disappointing performances this past winter in the NFC Championship and Super Bowl, it’s the overall numbers that should be taken into consideration the most to show what he’s done for this offense.

During Goff’s first year playing in McVay’s system, Los Angeles watched their beloved quarterback take a major leap forward compared to his rookie campaign by throwing for 3,804 yards to go along with 28 touchdown passes, and just seven interceptions.

One year later, Goff found a way to improve once again by finishing with 4,688 passing yards along with 32 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions.

Finding a way to top these numbers each year will be difficult for obvious reasons, but this isn’t going to stop Goff from at least trying.

While there are plenty of great takeaways from the previous two years, the one that stands out the most should be how Goff continues to improve his game with experience, and isn’t going to slow down anytime soon.
