1. Eric Rowe

Winning two Super Bowls in three years with the New England Patriots only to sign with the Dolphins should obviously be viewed as a step back for a player like Eric Rowe, but at least the cornerback is only under a one-year deal with the team.

Throughout his career, Rowe has been one of the most difficult players to figure out talent wise since plenty of football fans look at how quickly the Philadelphia Eagles gave up on the former Utah star after his rookie year in 2015.

But also, the Patriots were willing to keep Rowe around for the previous three years, meaning some sort of potential makes this worth considering.

Looking at the Rams current situation at cornerback, the defense is in great position with Marcus Peters and Aqib Talib.

However, there is some uncertainty over what to expect beyond the 2019 season since both cornerbacks are currently in the final year of their contracts, which means they will need to consider all potential options for the future.

Even with the Rams feeling confident in other players such as David Long being a key part of the future, bringing on another cornerback like Rowe would at least provide another unexpected option.

And who knows, maybe if Los Angeles were to get lucky, Rowe would end up being a better fit than originally expected in Phillips’ defense to make the team want to consider keeping him around for the long run.
