The Los Angeles Rams helped their case in the latest NFL Power Rankings for Week 3 after handing the New Orleans Saints a loss on Sunday.

When a team like the Los Angeles Rams defeats another playoff-caliber team in the New Orleans Saints, it’s certainly going to help their case in the NFL Power Rankings, which appears to be the case heading into Week 3.

After seeing how things played out in January when the Rams benefitted from a controversial call to help defeat the Saints in the NFC Championship, this Week 2 meeting seemed to have the potential to be one of the most intense games from Sunday.

Intensity wise, this game didn’t see the kind of high scoring most football fans expected, but the all that Los Angeles truly cares about is they managed to hang on for the 27-9 win over New Orleans to remain undefeated.

Watching the Rams prevent the Saints from scoring a single touchdown should be viewed as a huge accomplishment for the defense, but also keep in mind that Los Angeles knows they earned a huge advantage over the Drew Brees injury.

Still, this was a solid win by the Rams to show the rest of the league they do in fact deserve to be viewed as a top contender in the NFC with all of the talent on both sides of the football.

Even if this game saw more controversy from the officials over what seemed like a blown call that would have resulted in a defensive touchdown by New Orleans, Los Angeles most likely still would have come through with the victory.

Now that Sean McVay and company officially have two wins in the books, where does this place the Rams in the latest NFL Power Rankings?

Well, let’s jump right in, and take a look at the latest list to see where Los Angeles stands since the defending NFC champions continue to make a strong case for being near the top.
