23. Pittsburgh Steelers

Is it time for the Pittsburgh Steelers to officially hit the panic button since the team will be entering Week 3 still in search of that first win in 2019?

Losing on the road opening weekend to the New England Patriots while failing to score a single touchdown was already difficult for the Steelers to deal with, but Sunday’s loss at home to the Seattle Seahawks was another tough break.

Since the Seahawks have only missed the playoffs once during the Russell Wilson era, the Steelers knew this would be another difficult battle, although there was hope the results would be different after a full week to recover.

Instead, Pittsburgh was forced to adjust on offense to playing without Ben Roethlisberger after the Steelers quarterback suffered a an elbow injury, leaving Mason Rudolph to run the offense.

All due respect to Rudolph since he actually did a decent job for the most part given the circumstances when facing the Seahawks, but the backup quarterback is no Big Ben.

Pittsburgh already seemed to be at a major disadvantage on offense after trading Antonio Brown away during the offseason, and the pressure will be on even more moving forward since this isn’t normally a team that struggles at the beginning of a new season.

Mike Tomlin has unfortunately found himself on the hot seat on numerous occasions throughout his head coaching career, but this is a whole new experience for him with the Steelers still winless.
