19. Houston Texans
One can only imagine how high the level of frustration would have been for the Houston Texans if the Jacksonville Jaguars converted that two-point conversion near the end of Week 2, but at least it’s a non-issue for Bill O’Brien’s squad.
Then again, when looking at how much the Texans in general struggled on offense in this one, the team should feel plenty concerned moving forward since the team nearly avoided falling to 0-2 on the season.
On paper, Houston seems to have the potential to have one of the top offenses in the NFL since Deshaun Watson is fortunate enough to have one of the league’s most dangerous receivers in DeAndre Hopkins.
And while nothing should take away from the fact that Jacksonville’s defense displayed an impressive performance for the most part in the loss to Houston, the Texans should still have been able to score more than 13 points.
Until Houston finds a way to play at a high level on a consistent basis, the questions surrounding O’Brien, and whether he’s the right fit as head coach are going to continue to be there.
As bad as it sounds, if the Texans play the Los Angeles Chargers like they did against the Jaguars, Week 3 could be another rough outing.
