10. Los Angeles Chargers

The fact that Ty Long missed two field goals during Sunday’s 13-10 loss to the Detroit Lions in Week 2 shows just how frustrating of an outcome this was for the Los Angeles Chargers since the last thing this team can afford is to fall far behind the Kansas City Chiefs in the standings.

Since the Lions were arguably playing in desperation mode after settling for a tie in Week 1 against the Arizona Cardinals, the Chargers knew this was going to be a tough battle on Sunday, but it still doesn’t take away from the frustration of only scoring 10 points.

From the two missed field goals to a key fumble on the goal-line by Austin Ekeler, there were too many missed opportunity by Los Angeles in this one to add even more pressure heading into Week 3 when they host the Houston Texans.

Talent wise, the Chargers are loaded with plenty of great players on both sides of the football to make another run at the playoffs in the AFC, even with Melvin Gordon continuing to be missing in action over being unhappy with his contract.

Knowing Philip Rivers, and his competitive mindset, the veteran quarterback will make sure Los Angeles bounces back in one of the strongest ways possible against Houston.
