29. Jacksonville Jaguars

Gardner Minshew and the Jacksonville Jaguars almost knocking off the Houston Texans on the road in Week 2 after coming up just short on a failed two-point conversion would have easily been the most exciting finish from Sunday’s games.

From Jacksonville’s perspective, it was easy to understand the decision to go for the win instead of attempting to win in overtime since this is a Jaguars team that seems to have nothing to lose moving forward with Nick Foles sidelined.

Never in a million years did a rookie like Minshew ever imagine that he would be in this position as a starter for the Jaguars, but at least he seems to be making the most of the situation.

Between leading the Jaguars in rushing yards along with recording zero turnovers, Minshew has plenty of positive factors to take away from this loss to the Texans that will hopefully benefit the rookie quarterback in the long run.

Speaking of the situation in the rushing department, how on earth is a player like Leonard Fournette only going to finish with 47 rushing yards on 15 carries?

A talented player like Fournette with his workhorse mentality needs to step it up more than ever for the Jaguars on offense to give the team a fighting chance in the AFC South, and take some of the extra pressure off Minshew until Foles is healthy enough to return.
