Here are three reasons why the Los Angeles Rams should consider themselves big winners from Week 2 of the 2019 season.

If the Los Angeles Rams were looking to make a statement in Week 2 about being one of the top teams to beat in the NFC, they certainly did so with their impressive 27-9 win over the New Orleans Saints.

For months, this rematch of the NFC Championship was expected to be one of the most exciting games of September, mainly because of what took place last January when the Rams arguably benefitted from a controversial play that helped them earn a trip to the Super Bowl.

Yes, there were a few other plays that could have made a difference as well, but New Orleans fans didn’t view it that way, and wanted nothing more than to see their beloved team take down Los Angeles in front of their own fans.

Instead, it was the Rams that came through on the winning end to improve to 2-0, and while Drew Brees leaving the game early on with a hand injury obviously played a key role in the outcome of this game, a win is still a win.

Defeating another playoff-caliber team this early in a new season was an amazing accomplishment for Los Angeles to show once again they do in fact belong in the conversation of top teams to beat in the NFC.

The Rams still have a long way to go when it comes to potentially earning that third trip in a row to the playoffs, but for now, it’s time to reflect on three reasons why Los Angeles deserves to be considered one of the big winners from Week 2.
