1. Gurley came up big once again

It’s only been two weeks, but the different approach in the ground game by limiting Todd Gurley‘s workload seems to be working for the Rams so far in 2019.

One week after coming up big in the fourth quarter against the Carolina Panthers when Los Angeles needed him the most, Gurley displayed a similar performance against the Saints in Week 2 by rushing for 63 yards on 20 carries, including a key touchdown run.

Normally in previous years, Gurley has been known to be an absolute workhorse in the backfield for the Rams, and while it may be disappointing to see his overall carries down, if Los Angeles is winning games, this is what matters the most.

Despite all of the concerns from the offseason since the Rams didn’t seem to want to talk about what was going on with Gurley, the team deserves some credit for how they’ve managed him so far through two games.

But as for whether this trend will continue to be successful for Los Angeles, well unfortunately it’s still way too early to tell since all Gurley and the Rams can do is take things one week at a time to make sure the two-time Pro Bowler doesn’t get overworked on offense.
