4. Falcons

One week after suffering an embarrassing loss on the road to the Minnesota Vikings, the Atlanta Falcons bounced back with a strong win over the Philadelphia Eagles to get back to .500 on the season.

Even though this game went right down to the wire after Julio Jones came up big with a 54-yard touchdown on fourth down in the final minutes, all the Falcons care about is earning the win to keep up with the Saints and Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the NFC South race.

Last season, Atlanta was considered one of the early favorites in the NFC to make a run at the Super Bowl after reaching the playoffs during the previous two years.

As Falcons fans know, the team came up way short of extending their playoff streak to three years after only winning seven games.

And while it’s still too early to determine whether Atlanta has what it takes to make it three playoff appearances in four years, the talent is certainly there on both sides of the football.

Most quarterbacks would do anything to be part of an offense like Matt Ryan has to work with by having weapons such as Jones and Calvin Ridley to work with.

Los Angeles has looked sharp so far on the defensive side of the football, but this doesn’t mean they would have their way against Atlanta.
