2. Perfect opportunity for breakout game by Goff

Despite Los Angeles being in great shape to start off the new season, there is some frustration over the play of Jared Goff, especially after signing that whopping extension a few weeks ago.

Even though the former No. 1 pick hasn’t been able to take advantage of Gurley being fully healthy on top of a few adjustments to the offensive line, Goff should still be able to put up better numbers in the passing game.

While it was great to see Goff connect with Cooper Kupp for two scores last weekend against the Cleveland Browns, it was still frustrating to watch the Rams quarterback finish with three turnovers as well.

Through three games, Goff actually has fewer touchdown passes (four) than turnovers (six), showing why there are some concerns with the start of October right around the corner.

Looking at what Daniel Jones (four total touchdowns in Week 3) was recently able to accomplish against the Buccaneers’ defense, Sunday seems like the perfect opportunity for Goff to finally have the breakout performance Los Angeles has been waiting for.

And if this somehow turns out to be the case, it will benefit Gurley in a big way as well in regards to the offense not needing their beloved running back to see a heavy workload.
