1. Brown, Henderson are available

First off, one of the biggest surprises from the month of September has been the lack of usage with rookie Darrell Henderson since the former Memphis star seemed like he would have more of an impact on offense.

Henderson may end up being used more down the road instead of receiving just one carry through three games, but at least if needed, Los Angeles should feel confident in being able to rely on the rookie.

When Gurley hasn’t bee on the field, Malcolm Brown has been the one stepping up as the No. 2 running back for the Rams, as the backup seems to have finally found a more consistent role on offense.

McVay has always been a big fan of Brown’s abilities as a running back, and the Rams never would have used a draft pick on Henderson back in April if they didn’t truly believe he could be valuable on offense, so why not take advantage of the situation against the Buccaneers?

The contest obviously needs to be played still, and Tampa Bay could end up giving Los Angeles a tougher challenge than originally expected, but this still seems like a game the Rams will jump out to an early need while never looking back.

Assuming this turns out to be the case, this will be another great opportunity for Gurley to receive some extra rest while allowing other running backs such as Brown and Henderson to fill in.
