4. Dallas Cowboys

Despite suffering their first loss of 2019 on Sunday to the New Orleans Saints, the Dallas Cowboys should still be considered one of the top contenders in the NFC since the talent alone makes them a dangerous team.

Not only does the defense continue to play at a high level, but with effective weapons such as Ezekiel Elliott and Amari Cooper for Dak Prescott to work with, the Cowboys will have little trouble bouncing back after their loss to the Saints.

After Los Angeles faced the defending NFC East champions last January in the Divisional Round, the Cowboys will have a chance for revenge against the Rams when the two teams face each other in the middle of December during Week 15.

Hopefully by then, Los Angeles has whatever issues they were dealing with on the defensive side of the football against Tampa Bay figured out to avoid another disastrous performance that was on display in Week 4.

Before the regular season even started, the Rams knew the Cowboys would likely be one of the teams standing in their way of a playoff run, and with September officially in the books, it’s safe to say this could still be the case.
