2. Linval Joseph

Early on in his career as a member of the New York Giants, Linval Joseph seemed like the kind of defender that would get better with experience, which is part of the reason why the Vikings were willing to sign him to a hefty deal back in 2014.

Even more exciting for Joseph, the East Carolina product would earn another hefty extension later on in 2017, making it clear that Minnesota viewed him as a valuable member of the defense.

But if the Vikings were to ever look into clearing some salary cap for the future, pulling off a trade with Joseph could work out for both teams involved, especially if the other team happened to be the Rams.

As great as Los Angeles feels having one of the league’s top defenders in Aaron Donald leading the way for the unit, adding another weapon that can apply extra pressure to quarterbacks like Joseph seems beneficial.

With Joseph already having two sacks to his name in 2019, early signs point to the defensive tackle eventually setting a new career in the category (four sacks in 2012, 2016).

Joseph may be turning 31 in October, but clearly the veteran still has plenty of great football left in him, and would seem like a great fit on a defense like the Rams.
