For the second week in a row, the Los Angeles Rams came up short in a meaningful game to drop their record to 3-2 on the season.

Just a few days after suffering a heartbreaking loss at home to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Los Angeles Rams were hoping to get back on the winning track with a key NFC West battle on Thursday against the Seattle Seahawks.

Based off the last coupe of years between these two teams, the Rams knew earning a win on the road in Seattle would be far from easy, especially since both teams were currently trailing the San Francisco 49ers in the division standings.

Unfortunately, Los Angeles made too many costly mistakes when it mattered the most at key points in the game, and would go on to lose to the Seahawks 30-29.

To top the frustration off, the Rams were actually in position to win towards the end of the game before Greg Zuerlein, who is normally one of the most reliable kickers in the league, came up short on a 44-yard field goal.

From losing Brandin Cooks to a potential concussion along with the defense struggling to keep Russell Wilson in check after allowing the Seahawks quarterback to toss four touchdown passes, there were plenty of rough factors from this one for the Rams.

But most importantly, the loss puts even more pressure on Los Angeles moving forward since at 3-2, the Rams now trail both the Seahawks and 49ers in the NFC West standings.

Since there is still plenty of time left in the regular season, there’s no reason to fully hit the panic button just yet, but it is frustrating to watch the defending NFC champions come up short in back-to-back weeks.

The Rams knew the pressure would be heavy entering the 2019 season after coming up just shy of winning the Super Bowl back in the winter, and it wouldn’t be a surprise if this ended up being game down the road that comes back to haunt Los Angeles in the playoff race.

Nothing against the Seahawks since this is obviously a great football team, but this loss hurts for the Rams, and will take a few days to fully get over.

If Los Angeles was feeling pressure before, one can only imagine how the team is going to be feeling heading into Week 6 since a few weeks ago, no one expected the Rams to have two losses at this point in the regular season.
