1. Goff is throwing way too many passes

After signing a whopping extension back at the beginning of September, Jared Goff knew there would be plenty of pressure moving forward to prove he was in fact worth all that money.

Through five games, Goff is nowhere near the level that Los Angeles needs him on when taking into consideration he has more turnovers (11) than touchdown passes (seven).

And while it’s difficult to put all the blame on Goff since plenty of other factors have been in play as well, the Rams do need to figure out a way to lighten his workload.

No quarterback should ever be forced to throw 117 passes in a two-game span like Goff has, and it’s even more frustrating to think about when considering that Los Angeles played on a shorter week as well.

Clearly, the Rams need to provide a better balance on offense to help take some of the pressure off Goff, or the struggles will most likely only continue.

Even if Gurley’s situation has prevented the Rams from running as much, why not take some of the pressure off him by getting Malcolm Brown or Darrell Henderson?

Whatever Los Angeles needs to do to keep Goff from throwing this many passes, it needs to be done quickly, or the losses are only going to continue to pile up.
