NFL Power Rankings, Week 6: Rams continue to drop after Seahawks loss
By Dan Parzych
It’s time to take a look at where the Los Angeles Rams currently stand in the latest NFL Power Rankings for Week 6.
All of a sudden, the Los Angeles Rams are on the decline in the NFL Power Rankings Week 6 thanks to Sean McVay’s squad suffering another tough loss to the Seattle Seahawks, dropping the team’s record to 3-2.
Heading into Thursday’s contest against the Seattle Seahawks, the Rams knew they would be in for a major challenge since this rivalry game always seems to be intense, but unfortunately this didn’t make the loss any easier to deal with.
From Greg Zuerlein missing a field goal from 44 yards out towards the end of regulation to the defense struggling to keep Russell Wilson in check, there were plenty of factors behind Los Angeles coming up short in this one.
Most importantly, the Rams suffering their second loss in a row means the team now sits in third place in the NFC West standings behind the Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers.
Since it’s only the beginning of October, there’s no reason for Los Angeles to hit the panic button just yet since plenty could happen from now until the end of December, but also the last two games could come back to haunt them down the road.
For a team that was already facing heavy pressure to live up to expectations after coming up short the way they did in the Super Bowl last February, the Rams better be ready for another tough matchup in Week 6 against the surprising 49ers.
But before jumping that far ahead, there’s still plenty to talk about from the latest week of action.
As for how much the back-to-back losses hurt the Rams in the latest NFL Power Rankings, well it’s time to jump right into the action to see where Los Angeles stands along with the 31 other teams.
