17. Carolina Panthers

Make that three impressive wins in a row for the Carolina Panthers, as this team continues to look amazing ever since Kyle Allen stepped up to fill in for the injured Cam Newton.

Of course, the argument can be made that most quarterbacks will find their job to be easier when Christian McCaffrey is playing at a ridiculously high level, which was exactly the case for Allen during Sunday’s win.

Fantasy football owners with McCaffrey on their roster most likely came through with the Week 5 win after the Carolina running back finished with 237 yards from scrimmage to go along with three touchdowns.

The Panthers always knew just how special of a player McCaffrey is, and it was one of the main reasons they felt so confident in using a first-round pick on him a few years ago, but watching him explode on Sunday with this kind of performance was insane.

All of a sudden, Carolina is back in the discussion of being a potential playoff contender in the NFC, and if Allen continues to find success running the offense, the Panthers could eventually realize that Newton is no longer needed.

But before jumping to these kinds of conclusions, the main focus for Carolina is Sunday’s rematch with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to make sure they don’t suffer another embarrassing loss.
