9. Philadelphia Eagles

Cards on the table, Sunday’s game against the New York Jets was a dream matchup for the Philadelphia Eagles when looking at how the two teams compare on paper.

The fact that Carson Wentz was even able to rest towards the end of the fourth quarter to give Josh McCown some playing time against his former team shows how easy this was for the Eagles, as they improved to 3-2 on the season.

A few weeks ago, there were some concerns in Philadelphia over whether this team would be able to compete for a playoff spot following back-to-back losses to the Atlanta Falcons and Detroit Lions.

But thanks to two impressive wins in a row over the Jets and Green Bay Packers, this team seems to be heating up at the perfect moment with two tough upcoming games in a row on the road against the Minnesota Vikings and Dallas Cowboys.

Most importantly from Sunday’s game, Carson Wentz finished without an interception for a third game in a row to help continue some of the remaining critics that didn’t believe he was the right answer under center for the Eagles.

Wentz only threw one touchdown pass on Sunday, but also this is all Philadelphia needed from him during the win.
