NFL Power Rankings, Week 6: Rams continue to drop after Seahawks loss

8. Detroit Lions
One year after failing to live up to the high expectations under Matt Patricia, the Detroit Lions have been one of the biggest surprises of 2019 so far, although they still have a long way to go.
Despite coming up short the way they did in Week 4 to the Kansas City Chiefs, the Lions should still feel proud over proving they have what it takes to compete with the best of teams in the NFL.
After enjoying a week off, Detroit has the perfect opportunity to do some damage in the NFC North with their next two games against the Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings.
Lambeau Field is never an easy place for any opponent to play, but Matthew Stafford should be thrilled over the opportunity to do what the Philadelphia Eagles accomplished back in Week 4 when they defeated the Packers on the road.
How far this Detroit team goes in 2019 will once again fall on the shoulders of Stafford, but at least the former No. 1 pick has plenty of great weapons to work with on offense.
Time after time, Stafford continues to prove he’s one of the toughest quarterbacks in the game, and if the Lions can keep him healthy with the proper protection, Detroit could continue to be a surprise contender in the NFC.
