3. Kansas City Chiefs

For the sake of the Kansas City Chiefs, here’s to hoping Patrick Mahomes ends up being alright since the reigning MVP did not look like himself at all during Sunday’s loss to the Indianapolis Colts.

Dating back to last season during his first full year as a starter, Mahomes has been on a completely different playing level than most of the other quarterbacks across the league.

And while Indianapolis certainly deserves all of the credit in the world for their stellar play on defense to keep Mahomes in check for the most part, the Chiefs quarterback usually still finds a way to put up big numbers, no matter what kind of challenge he’s facing.

The good news for Kansas City is there’s no reason to make a big deal after only one loss, especially since Indianapolis as a team looks like a strong playoff contender.

But as mentioned before, the most important thing to keep an eye on moving forward is making sure that whatever is bothering Mahomes doesn’t end up being too serious since he was clearly limping around at times.

Otherwise, the Chiefs could be in trouble, but also it doesn’t appear to be that big of a deal as of now.
