NFL Power Rankings, Week 6: Rams continue to drop after Seahawks loss

1. New England Patriots
Deep down, when the Washington Redskins jumped out to an early lead against the New England Patriots, there was never really any concern surrounding the defending Super Bowl champions.
If anything, this seemed like one of those situations in which the Patriots just needed to make a few adjustments before eventually pulling away with the win, which turned out to be exactly the case.
While New England’s defense deserves plenty of credit for putting together another strong performance by only allowing Washington to score seven points, it was also great to see Sony Michel finally put together a solid outing with 91 rushing yards and a score.
When taking into consideration that Michel rushed for less than 15 yards in two of the first four contests, the Patriots must be thrilled to see their running back finally put together a performance like this one.
Between New England’s offense having all these great weapons for Tom Brady to work with along with the defense continuing to play at a high level, this team continues to make it seem like they’re in for another Super Bowl run.
With upcoming games against the New York Giants and New York Jets, the next biggest challenge for the Patriots may not even come until the end of October when facing the Cleveland Browns.
