NFL Power Rankings, Week 6: Rams continue to drop after Seahawks loss
By Dan Parzych
26. Arizona Cardinals
After numerous close calls in previous weeks, Kyler Murray finally earned that first win as a NFL starter on Sunday by helping the Arizona Cardinals defeat the Cincinnati Bengals.
Even though the Oklahoma product didn’t finish with a touchdown pass in this one, Murray made up for it with his legs after torching the Bengals’ defense with 93 rushing yards to go along with a score.
Like most rookies, Murray clearly has numerous areas in need of improvement before Arizona deserves to be in the conversation of being a playoff contender in the NFC, but securing that first win is a huge step in the right direction.
In the long run, this early experience by Murray should pay off in a big way for the Cardinals, and help them feel even more better about the tough decision from the offseason to move on from Josh Rosen after only one season.
The Bengals as a team are far from impressive, and some critics will try to use this to take away from how impressive of a win this really was for the Cardinals, but a win is still a win.
And who knows, with the struggling Atlanta Falcons coming to town in Week 6, maybe Arizona has what it takes to earn two wins in a row.
