NFL Power Rankings, Week 6: Rams continue to drop after Seahawks loss
By Dan Parzych
25. Denver Broncos
When taking into consideration that three of their four losses in 2019 have been by single digits, the Denver Broncos seemed confident that it wouldn’t be much longer until they finally earned that first win of the regular season.
Turns out, that first win for the Broncos finally took place on Sunday when Denver wasted little time jumping out to a 14-0 lead over the Los Angeles Chargers, and never looked back.
One win certainly doesn’t mean that Denver is all of a sudden back on the right track, but earning that first win certainly helps remove some of the pressure the Broncos have been dealing with, especially after losing to the Jacksonville Jaguars the previous week.
Hopefully, Phillip Lindsay and the rest of the Broncos’ offense can use this Week 5 win as motivation to make sure they continue to play on a high level.
Over the years, Denver’s defense has done most of the heavy lifting while the offense struggled to come through on their end, which is part of the reason why there was so much excitement after the team acquire Joe Flacco during the offseason.
To finish with a solid performance against a legitimate defense in the Chargers, this was the kind of performance on offense the Broncos needed.
