1. Rams on verge of desperation mode

To say the Rams are desperate for a win in Week 6 over their division rivals would be a huge understatement after the defending NFC champions enter the weekend coming off two tough losses in a row.

It was already disappointing enough to see Los Angeles come up short the way they did at home in Week 4 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but Greg Zuerlein‘s missed kick the following week to seal the deal on a second loss in a row was the icing on the cake.

Now, the Rams are one loss to the 49ers away from dropping to .500 on the 2019 season, which is the last thing Sean McVay and company need to deal with at the moment.

Los Angeles was already facing high pressure entering the 2019 season after coming up short the way they did in February during the Super Bowl, and falling behind even further in the NFC West race would see that pressure hit new levels.

Time and time again, desperation mode will sometimes help bring out the best in teams by putting together a strong performance.

San Francisco has looked incredible so far in 2019, but when looking at some of the factors working to the advantage of Los Angeles, the desperation mode could result in a Week 6 win to avoid dropping to 3-3 on the year.
