1. Desperation could be kicking in for Goff

Critics didn’t hold back in expressing their opinions back at the beginning of September when the Rams decided to reward Goff with a whopping contract extension since they believed this was a huge mistake for Los Angeles.

Despite the previous success from Goff over the previous two seasons, Los Angeles was in position to hold off on a new deal if they really wanted to, but decided to get it out of the way to avoid the risk of the asking price increasing down the road.

Goff obviously still has plenty of time to live up to his hefty deal since he’s still young, but also if he continues to put up disappointing numbers, it’s only going to continue adding unnecessary pressure.

To say the Rams are on the verge of desperation mode would be a huge understatement since one can only imagine the challenge heading into the final weekend of October if the team is sitting at four losses in a row.

But also, these are the kinds of situations in which players put together their best performances, and if Goff were to take a page out of the Kirk Cousins playbook from Week 6, the Rams wouldn’t be upset one bit.
