3. Dean Marlowe

With the crushing news involving John Johnson heading to IR for the Rams, rookie Taylor Rapp is expected to take a larger role on the defensive side of the football playing alongside Eric Weddle.

After using a second-round pick on the Washington product back in April, Los Angeles seemed to have the mindset of being patient with the rookie safety in 2019 to help Rapp adjust to playing in the NFL.

From a potential perspective, the investment in Rapp seems like it’s going to work wonders for the Rams on the defensive side of the football, but since the rookie is facing extra pressure to step up with Johnson out, adding some depth could be wise for Los Angeles.

Since the Bills are too smart to give up Jordan Poyer or Micah Hyde when looking at how valuable these two are to the defense, one name that would seem worth targeting is Dean Marlowe since he seems like a safety Buffalo be able to adjust to playing without if needed.

Just because Marlowe has only appeared in six games for the Bills dating back to the 2018 season doesn’t necessarily mean he’s incapable of making an impact on defense if the interest were there for the Rams.

Not to mention, Los Angeles seems like they would allow Marlowe a better opportunity for playing time due to injuries.
