NFL Power Rankings, Week 8: Rams finally end losing streak by blowing out Falcons
By Dan Parzych

14. Dallas Cowboys
One can only imagine how hot Jason Garrett’s seat would have been as head coach if the Dallas Cowboys managed to lose a fourth game in a row during Sunday’s contest against the Philadelphia Eagles, but luckily that unfortunately streak came to an end.
With the winner of this NFC East battle earning the rights to a full-game lead on top of the division, the Cowboys deserve plenty of credit for continuing to build a strong case over being the team to beat.
From Ezekiel Elliott continuing to be a workhorse in the backfield while continuing to be a nightmare for the Eagles each time on top of the defense making it a long night for Carson Wentz, the Cowboys have plenty to be thrilled about over this victory.
But most importantly, Dallas made a statement in proving to be able to defeat a playoff-caliber team after looking at some of the previous heat the Cowboys took during their three-game losing streak since they couldn’t take down the New Orleans Saints or Green Bay Packers.
Obviously, the Cowboys still have a lot to prove since one win over a team in the Eagles dealing with all sorts of injuries on both sides of the football doesn’t necessarily the success is going to continue the rest of the way.
At least after this win, Dallas continues to be in the driver’s seat for the NFC East title, and could be in for another win Week 9 after the bye during their second meeting of 2019 with the New York Giants.
