2. San Francisco 49ers (2)

Sloppy conditions doesn’t even begin to describe how the weather was during Sunday’s game between the San Francisco 49ers and Washington Redskins, but at least Kyle Shanahan’s squad managed to stay undefeated.

There aren’t going to be many times in which the 49ers end up victorious when their only points come from three field goals, but this is the perfect example of how difficult it was for both teams to find the end zone due to the weather.

On paper, a meeting with the Redskins would normally give the 49ers a major advantage to earn an easy win, and the team deserves plenty of credit for still finding a way to improve to 6-0 since there were plenty of opportunities for Washington to put up points.

While San Francisco was considered a potential contender worth keeping an eye on in the NFC, the last thing any football fan expected was this team to still be undefeated this late in October.

Jimmy Garoppolo rightfully earns plenty of credit for the team’s success over the last two months, but there’s no question the improved play by the 49ers’ defense has been the main difference maker, and the unit must have been thrilled to earn the shutout in Week 7.
