2. Goff’s best game of 2019

Goff knew the pressure was on entering the 2019 season after signing that whopping contract extension back at the beginning of September, but through the first six games, there’s no question the former No. 1 pick was viewed as a huge disappointment.

The fact that Goff entered Week 7 with more turnovers (13) than actual touchdown passes (seven), and was coming off a performance against the 49ers in which he threw for just 78 yards shows what kind of year it’s been for the Rams quarterback.

One game against the Falcons certainly doesn’t mean Goff is off the hook, but this was the kind of performance Los Angeles has been waiting for all season from their beloved quarterback.

Combining for three touchdowns (one rushing) against Atlanta shows exactly what Goff is capable of when on top of his game, and if he can continue to play on this high of a level next weekend in London against the Bengals, the Rams will feel much better.

Even if the offensive line, and Todd Gurley‘s presence in the backfield hasn’t been as reliable as previous years for Goff, Los Angeles still needs their quarterback to do whatever it takes to produce under center.
