3. Fowler comes through again

One week after setting a career high of three sacks in a win over the Atlanta Falcons, the Rams were hoping to see Dante Fowler Jr. continue his streak in London when taking on the Bengals.

After agreeing to a one-year deal in the offseason, this was viewed as a “prove-it deal” for the former first-round pick to see if the potential would be there to eventually lock Fowler up for the long run to help the defense be set for years to come.

By starting the year off on a hot note with two sacks against the Carolina Panthers, Fowler seemed like he would need little time to prove himself worth for Los Angeles, but unfortunately his next sack wouldn’t come until that Week 7 win in Atlanta.

As for how Fowler looked in London, well the defense certainly had plenty of reasons to be pleased with their linebacker finishing with 1.5 sacks to bring his season total to 6.5 (another 1.5 away from his career high).

Fowler still has plenty to prove over the final two months since his asking price will most likely be quite hefty when the time comes, but also the Rams should be thrilled over his play from the last two games.
