11. Minnesota Vikings (5)

Right when it seemed like the Minnesota Vikings were going to escape with what would have been a huge win on the road over the Kansas City Chiefs, Mike Zimmer’s team came up short after a last second field goal.

Normally, a loss like this wouldn’t seem like that big of a deal for the Vikings since they were winners in each of their previous four games prior to Sunday, but also when seeing how the NFC North is shaping out, every win possible is extremely important.

What makes this loss even more frustrating for Minnesota is Zimmer’s defense couldn’t even take advantage of Kansas City playing again without Patrick Mahomes on offense.

Nothing against Matt Moore since the veteran deserves plenty of credit for the way he’s played in recent weeks filling in for the reigning MVP, but Mahomes is a special player that always makes a huge difference when on the field.

On another note, as great as it was to see Kirk Cousins finish the day with three touchdown passes, it was frustrating to watch Stefon Diggs only catch one pass for four yards when seeing how great the wideout has been in recent weeks.

Clearly, this played a big factor in the Vikings coming up short in this one since Minnesota is difficult to beat when Diggs is on top of his game.
