NFL Power Rankings, Week 10: Rams face plenty of pressure following bye week

1. San Francisco 49ers (2)
Thursday’s game against the Arizona Cardinals turned out to be closer than expected for the San Francisco 49ers, but this is another example of how good football teams find ways to win games, no matter what.
Defense has been a major reason behind the success of the 49ers throughout the 2019 season, but Week 9 was the perfect example of just how dangerous this team can be when Jimmy Garoppolo is on top of his game.
For the most part, Garoppolo hasn’t exactly displayed any monster performances this season, but also they haven’t been necessary for San Francisco to win games.
By arguably putting together the best performance of his career in the win over the Cardinals by throwing for 317 yards to go along with four touchdowns, just imagine if Garoppolo continues to play on this high of a level.
Between Garoppolo and San Francisco’s elite defense, this team is going to be difficult to beat moving forward, as they could be riding their way towards the No. 1 seed in the NFC playoff picture when the time comes.
As much as Rams fans don’t want to hear it, the 49ers are clearly the team to beat within the NFC West with no signs of slowing down anytime soon.
