3. Eagles

Even though the Philadelphia Eagles are in a similar situation as the Rams when it comes to the fact they may have to end up battling for a Wild Card spot in the NFC, the team did help Los Angeles in a way by defeating the Chicago Bears on Sunday.

When looking at how the NFC North is shaping out, it’s safe to assume the only chance the Bears have at punching their ticket to the postseason is by earning one of the Wild Card spots in the conference, just like the Rams and Eagles.

After Chicago finished on top of their division last season, the Bears appeared to be heading towards another year of being a serious contender in the NFC before things fell apart over the last month or so with four losses in a row.

With the way things have been playing out since the end of September, there’s a good chance the Bears will be eliminated from playoff contention in good time.

But since nothing is official at the moment, Los Angeles should be thrilled over the fact that Chicago continues to dig themselves a deeper hole in the NFC standings, with Philadelphia playing a role in the latest incident.
