8. Dallas Cowboys (12)

Thanks to their win over the Detroit Lions along with receiving some help from the New England Patriots taking down the Philadelphia Eagles, the Dallas Cowboys are back on top of the NFC East all alone heading into Week 12 with a full-game lead.

With a favorable matchup for the Cowboys since Matthew Stafford was unable to go due to a back injury, the Lions ended up giving Dallas more of a scare than originally expected, but all that matters is Jason Garrett’s team managed to hold on for the victory.

In case there were still any doubters over whether Dak Prescott has what it takes to be a reliable quarterback in the NFL, all they need to do is see how the Cowboys star quarterback finished with 444 passing yards to go along with three touchdowns.

As long as Prescott continues to play on this high of a level, Dallas should be able to finish on top of the NFC East, and certainly has a major advantage over the Eagles at the moment since they already own the head-to-head tiebreaker.

But with a tough battle on the road set for next weekend against the New England Patriots, the Cowboys need to show they can compete with some of the best, or Philadelphia will be looking to take advantage.
