6. New Orleans Saints (6)

Not only did the New Orleans Saints manage to pull off a big win on the road over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 11, but thanks to a surprise loss by the Carolina Panthers, Sean Payton’s team now has a three-game lead in the division race.

For months, the Saints have been considered the heavy favorites to finish on top of the NFC South, but the Panthers seemed like the one team that could give them some trouble for the title.

Thanks to New Orleans earning the 34-17 win over Tampa Bay, the Saints head into Week 12 with an 8-2 record, and continue to make a case for being one of the top teams to beat within the NFC.

Watching Drew Brees complete three touchdown passes on Sunday, and Michael Thomas haul in eight catches for 114 yards with a touchdown made it easy to see why the Saints were able to earn the win over the Buccaneers, but the defense also deserves a ton of credit.

To say Jameis Winston is a turnover machine would be a huge understatement, and it’s one of the main reasons the Buccaneers will have plenty of thinking to do once the offseason gets underway.

So after watching New Orleans find a way to record four interceptions on the former No. 1 pick, this played a key role in the win as well.
